For its privileged geographic position, Cuba is visited each year by a large amount of migratory birds, many of which make a brief visit to the island to rest after long journeys and then continue their flight towards the south; others receive the category of winter birds for remaining on the island until the spring.
Cuba is an attractive destination for bird watchers for its geographic location, the conservation of its ecosystems, sub tropical climate, great biodiversity, and high level of endemism.
Tour the city of Havana and panoramic visit to the western city of Pinar del Rio. You will go bird watching in the Biosphere Reserve of Sierra del Rosario, visit Soroa, and the Orchid Farm. Bird watching in the area of Soroa and witness beautiful birds like the Tocororo (Cuba's National Bird) (Priotelus Temnorus), the Green Woodpecker (Xiphidiopicus Percussus), Cartacuba (Todus Multicolor), Royal Zorzal (Mimocichla plumbeachistacea) and Ruiseñor (Myadestes Elizabeth) among others. The following day go bird watching while walking through the La Serafina hill close to the San Juan River. On the 5th day go the Viñales Valley, on your way visit the La Guira National Park and once in the valley tour the areas hills to watch endemic birds.
