Itinerary

Day 1 Havana

Arrival to Havana International Airport José Martí.

Meet and Greeting at the Airport.

Transfer to Hotel in Havana.

Check In at Hotel.

Accommodation in B & B at Hotel Quinta Avenida 5*.

Day 2 Tour of Old and Modern Havana

08:30 Breakfast.

09:30 Walking Tour of Old Havana, visiting all squares of Old Havana, main buildings from XVI, XVII and XVIII Century, entrance to Capitanes Generales Museum (City Museum of Havana), also to the Small Scale Museum of Old Havana, entrance to the Rum Museum, ending at Cathedral Square.

13:30 Luncheon at La Mina restaurant, classic bohemian restaurant in the Plaza de Armas Square in Old Havana with 1 liquid include with the meal (water, or beer, or soft drinks or glass of wine).

14:30 Visit the prestige Paseo del Prado Avenue, the Capitol Building and the Grand Theater of Havana.

19:00 Back to the Hotel.

20:30 Dinner at prestige Restaurant Comedor Aguiar at Hotel Nacional de Cuba (with 1 liquid included in the meal) plus transportation round trip.

19:40 Departing for Morro Cabaña Fortress to participate in the Cañonazo ceremony

22:00 Entrance to the Cabaret Parisién to enjoy Musical Cuban Show with a welcoming drink in one of the most famous Cabaret in Cuba, coming from the 30´s last year.

Day 3 Havana Cruise at Havana Port, Hemingway Tour

08:30 Breakfast.

09:00 Check Out and trip to Finca Vigía, the Home of Hemingway in Cuba, nowdays the Hemingway Museum, which concentrate most number of pieces and collection of the writer in the world; after that visit Cojímar town which was very important in the life of Hemingway in Cuba.

12:00 Luncheon at La Terraza de Cojímar restaurant, very often visited by Hemingway, where he used to meet the Cojimar´s fisherman and talk with them about their experiences at the Sea. Based upon those real stories Hemingway wrote his famous novel Old Man and the Sea. Also Gregorio, the captain of Pilar Yatch was from Cojímar, and until his last days of life he used to go to this place. Have lunch and smoke a big Havana in the best style of his friend Big “Papa” Hemingway.

13:30 Entrance to Morro Cabaña Fortress.

14:45 Visit the Ambos Mundos Hotel and the Hemingway room, the one he used to rent in the 20´s and 30´s in his trips to Havana before he bought Finca Vigía. If times allow visit the Floridita Bar, walk through Obispo Boulevard. At the Port on time to get the Cruise to go to Maria La Gorda.

15:00 Tour of the Cojimar town which Hemingway visited very often to talk with the Cojímar´s fishermen about their experience fishing on small boats in the Sea. From that time he thought about the idea of writing the novel Old Man and the Sea. Also Hemingway participated in the movie of the same name which was filmed in Cojímar based on the novel of Hemingway’s novel "The Old Man and the Sea".

At the Port on time to get the Cruise to go to Maria La Gorda.

DAY 4 Maria la Gorda (NO SERVICE INCLUDED)

DAY 5 Maria la Gorda - Cienfuegos - Trinidad

10:00 Meet and Greeting at the Port Terminal in Cienfuegos.

10:15 Full city tour of Cienfuegos City, declared by Unesco at Heritage site of Humankind. Visit the Martí Park, the Terry Theater, the Alameda (Central Park), the Seaboard over one of the prettiest Bay in Cuba, visit the French Style mansion built by the settlers of Cienfuegos who came from Louisiana, USA in the XVIII century. Visit the Palacio del Valle Building with its eclectic and neoclassical architectural trends and visit the Nautical Club. Cienfuegos appeal lies partly in the European flavour of its colonial hub, with a wide Parisian-style boulevard and elegant colonnades, and there is an ambience to inspire Cuba’s most celebrated Son singer Benny More to write the words “Cienfuegos is the city I like best”.

12:00 Departing for Trinidad, the quintessential of Cuba Colonial City, best preserved historical Center in all the America´s. Established by the Spaniards in 1514 and lined with cobblestone streets and colorful houses, the town of Trinidad is easy to wander around and almost every scene offers superb photographic opportunities, from locals casually smoking their huge cigars on the doorsteps of their homes to old Chevrolets cruising by.

13:15 Luncheon at El Colonial Restaurant.

14:25 Walking Tour of the Major square, visit the Church, the Cantero Palace (City Museum), Visit the Santa Ana Square and entrance to the Canchanchara Bar.

17:00 Drive back to Cienfuegos.

DAY 6 Cienfuegos - Montego Bay (NO SERVICE IN JAMAICA INCLUDED)

DAY 7 Montego Bay - Santiago de Cuba

10:00 Meeting at Santiago de Cuba Harbor.

10:30 Full city tour of the City of Santiago de Cuba finalizing at Morro Fortress, visiting the Piracy Museum, and having luncheon at 14:30.

Tour of the Céspedes Park, center of the city Enramada Street, walking the boulevard.

Entrance to Moncada Museum, visit the Square Antonio Maceo.

Visit the Carnival Museum and Rum Museum.

Back to the Port to depart by the Cruise.

DAY 8 At Sea (NO SERVICE INCLUDED)

DAY 9 Havana - Departure

09:00 Meet and Greeting at the Cruise Port at the Havana Bay.

09:30 Tour of Guanabacoa, visit the Jewish Cemetery, the town of Pepe Antonio very important in the fights against the British in the XVIII when they invaded Havana; visit the Orisha Museum with show.

Visit the Casablanca town and the Cristo of Havana.

14:30 Luncheon at La Imprenta restaurant.

Free walking.

18:30 Trf Out to Havana International Airport to take flight back to home.

Capitanes Generales, Havana
Capitanes Generales Museum

Museum located in the old Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, opposite the Plaza de Armas. It is the representative city museum. Its more than thirty rooms exhibit valuable collections of plastic, decorative and utilitarian objects that recreate the historical and cultural evolution habanera arts. The main entrance to City Museum overlooking the street Tacon, between Bishop and orelly. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.

The Terrazas restaurant, Cojímar

This restaurant is found in the fishing town of Cojímar east of the city of Havana. It opens its doors for the first time on May 20th, 1925. The Terrazas de Cojimar has moderate prices and it specializes in dishes based with seafood and fish. In addition to excellent food, the restaurant is famous for being the favourite spot for renowned US writer Ernest Hemingway during the time he wrote his book ˜The Old Man and the Sea˜, inspired in the life of fishermen of Cojímar during the 1950´s. It is open every day for lunch and dinner.

Finca Vigia is located in the small, working-class town of San Francisco de Paula. The Cuban people have always respected famous writer's choice to live in a modest town, amongst the people he fished with. There, Hemingway wrote two of his most celebrated novels: For Whom the Bell Tolls and The Old Man and the Sea. Open: 10am to 4pm, Monday thru Saturday and 9am to 1pm, Sunday

Jose Marti Park, Cienfuegos

Located in the historic center of Cienfuegos, declared by UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site in 2005, it is one of the greatest symbols of culture and identity of the province known as the Pearl of the South. On April 22, 1819, the day of the founding of Fernandina de Jagua, the commander of the Royal Navy, Felix Bouyon, took as its starting point a majagua for the layout of the square block of the entire village.

It is considered one of the oldest buildings in the city, where three centuries of architectural elements are combined.

Plaza Santa Ana, Trinidad

Plaza Santa Ana, located at the eastern end of the historic center, about 500 meters from the Plaza Mayor, was urbanized in the late eighteenth century and was the point of access to the Valley of the Sugar Mills and important commercial artery of the time. There are two buildings, the Chapel of Santa Ana and the Royal Prison.
