Day 1 HAVANA

Day 2 CITY TOUR HAVANA

08:00 Breakfast.

09:00 Departing for Full Private City Tour of Havana. Starting the walking tour of Old Havana from the Templete, where Havana villa was founded in 1519. Walking through the Plaza de Armas and all other Squares of Old Havana: San Francisco de Asís Square, then to Old Square, visit the Cathedral Square. Seeing the monuments, the Palacio del Segundo Cabo and Plaza de Cristo.

11:00 Entrance to the Capitanes Generales Museum (city museum).

12:45 Optional luncheon at a Paladar / Private Restaurant San Cristobal or similar.

14:00 Visit the Paseo del Prado Avenue, enjoying a majestic Avenue, visit the Grand Theater of Havana, the Central Park José Martí and the Capitol Building.

15:00 From the Capitol Building, we will continuous the tour to Modern Havana, first visiting the Revolution Square, the Cemetery Colon (from the outside), the Vedado area with its amazing Avenues, residences, buildings, the University of Havana, La Rampa on 23 Street, the Seaboard.

16:00 Visit Eduardo Cordoba´s workshop (unique artist´s demonstration of unique musical instruments, music of Afrocuban rituals and dancing). Private performance.

18:00 Back to the Guest House.

19:30 1 hour tour in Old American Vintage cars through old and modern Havana, Malecón (seaboard) ending at Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

20:30 Optional dinner in best local restaurants.

21:30Optional entrance to world-famous Tropicana Cabaret show or a similar Parisien Cabaret Show.

Day 3 HAVANA-VIÑALES-LAS TERRAZAS

08:00 Breakfast.

09:00 Departing for Tour to Viñales Valley and Las Terrazas Community, one of the most beautiful landscape in Cuba with their rare hill name Mogotes, fertile land where best havano tobacco leaf is grown. Place of wonderful caverns, little country routes and amazing landscapes.

10:35 Visit Montesino´s tobacco farm to learn about the process of drying and processing the leaf of tobacco to produce the hand-made havano cigar.

Visit the viewpoint at Los Jazmines.

11: 45 Entrance to the Indean Caves, with a river underground.

14:00 Visit the mural painted on one ladder of a mogote hill, it try to represent a vision of how was life in the pre-historical time in this part of Cuba which is the oldest geological emerged from the buttom of the sea to form Cuba island as known´s today.

Luncheon at ecological farm Paraiso where they have a creole food restaurant.

Back to Havana.

On the way stop at Las Terrazas community project, visit the interpretation center Curujey, visit the community, the ruins of the French coffee plantation, if of interest visit the art galleries of painter of the area. Canopy tour available in Las Terrazas (not included).

18:30 Back to Havana.

21:30 Optional dinner at local restaurant.

DAY 4 Havana social projects, Hemingway trace in Havana and afro-Cuban culture experience.

08:00 Breakfast.

09:00 Visit the Fine Arts Museum to appreciate modern Cuban fine art with a specialized tour guide from the museum. Visit Yoruba Society (Afrocuban performance if available).

11:00 Visit Callejón de Hamel (the Hamel Alley), the epicenter to the Cuban Afro-Culture, to be in contact with a very original street art gallery and Rumba dance (recommended for Sundays when performance is available).

Continuation to Cojimar Fishermen town, east of Havana very important in the life of Hemingway in Havana. Visit La Terraza de Cojímar, appreciate all the pictures of Hemingway in Cojímar during the fifties, place where he used to chat with fishermen and with his very good friend Gregorio also the captain of his Yacht Pilar, 1 mojito included.

13:00 Optional lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch visit the Hemingway Museum at Finca Vigía, explanation by a specialist.

Continuation of the tour to el Morro Fortress. Entrance to the external area of Morro Castle to have an incredible view of the city, special opportunity of taking pictures.

Visit the Bar El Floridita, the preferable of Hemingway in Havana and try the famous Daiquiri (included).

Back to the Guest House around 16:30.

DAY 5 Havana

Breakfast.

11:00 Visit the Community Project “Arte y Corte” Arts Court is a cultural economic project outset grouped uniting barbers, hairdressers, artists and painters in the country that have been linked, in one way or another to the hairdresser. The goal of all of them is to transcend beyond their job cutting hair, based on three grounds: the art, history and craft. The project is supported by the Office of the City Historian of Havana.

13:00 Luncheon at El Fígaro Restaurant (family restaurant part of the community project Arte Corte in Old Havana).

In the afternoon visit Fusterlandia, the Fuster community Project in Jaimanitas. Located at a small coastal neighborhood West of Havana, this tour will be led by the famous Cuban painter and ceramicist José Fuster.

On the way back to the Guest House, panoramic tour of Convention Center, schools of art.

Free time.

20:00 Dinner at El Cocinero Restaurant (private managed restaurant).

21:00 Entrance to Art Factory in Vedado Town. This is a very original place with a combination of art exhibitions, life music group performance, workshops about art, culture, books, painting, theater, where young people use to hang out.

Back to the guest house.
